# Adjust

This guide helps you integrate Digital Turbine as a partner network in Adjust, set up the necessary attributions, and configure reporting to manage your Adjust campaign performance.

## Add Digital Turbine as a Partner Network <a href="#step1-add-dt" id="step1-add-dt"></a>

### Network Selection

1. In the left navigation menu, click **Campaigns→Ad networks**.

2. Click **New network** in the top right corner.

3. In the search field at the top right, start typing *Digital Turbine*, select the **Digital Turbine** tile, then click **Next** at the bottom right.

4. Select the desired app for configuration, then click **Next** at the bottom right.

5. Enable data sharing for Digital Turbine: turn on the **Enabled** and **Enable New API** toggles.

6. Under **Set your data sharing options**, select **Data from all attribution sources** in the radio group, and check the **Ad revenue**, **Sessions**, and **In-app revenue** checkboxes.

If you choose to share ad revenue data from ad views, you must also map an event to `ad_revenue` in the following steps.

7. Under **Map your events**, click **Map event**.

8. For each selected **Adjust event** you are configuring, map to an event from the list [below](#digital-turbine-events).

Digital Turbine machine learning algorithms rely on standard event names to improve ad targeting, optimization, measurement, and insights. For best results, use these names for event mapping:

If there's no suitable name on this list for an event, you can add an arbitrary event name. However, make sure there are no spaces and special characters in it other than the underscore (`_`).

9. Repeat to configure all desired events, and then click **Next**.\
   The page shows the data hierarchy of the Adjust tracker. No changes are needed on this page.
10. Click **Next**.

## Set Up Tracker <a href="#step2-set-up-tracker" id="step2-set-up-tracker"></a>

### Setting Up User Destinations

1. In the **Add a redirect** and **Add a fallback**, sections keep the default: **App stores**.

2. Click **Next**.

### Configuring Attribution Settings

Attribution settings are inherited from the app-level settings. These can be overridden at the Network level by clicking the **Edit** button.

3. In the **Clicks** area, click the **Edit** icon to the right.

4. For **Device matching**, set the **Attribution window** to *30 days*.
5. Turn on the **Enable probabilistic modeling** toggle, and set the **Attribution window** to *24 hours*.
6. Do not turn on the **Enable temporary attribution** toggle.

8. In the **Impressions** area, click the **Edit** icon to the right.
9. Turn on the **Enable device matching** toggle, and set the **Attribution window** to *24 hours*.
10. Turn on the **Enable probabilistic modeling** toggle, and set the **Attribution window** to *24 hours*.

11. Click **Save**.

To set up [proper attribution of pre-installed apps](https://help.adjust.com/en/article/pre-install-measurement), your engineering team needs to configure the Adjust SDK accordingly:

* Make sure you are on [Adjust Android SDK](https://github.com/adjust/android_sdk#af-preinstalled-apps) version 4.23.0 or later.
* Enable the pre-install tracking (see details in [relevant Adjust Developer Documentation](https://dev.adjust.com/en/sdk/android/setup/preinstall-tool)).
* Use the Content Provider method (see details in [relevant Adjust Developer Documentation](https://help.adjust.com/en/article/preinstalled-apps-android-sdk#content-provider-method)).

### Reviewing the Setup

12. Review the configuration, and click **Create Link**.

### Creating Tracking Links

13. Under **Link URLs**, copy the **Click URL** and **Impression URL** and send to your Account Manager at Digital Turbine so that they can configure your campaign.

## Contact Adjust <a href="#step3-contact-adjust" id="step3-contact-adjust"></a>

Two more things that need to be taken care of are allowlisting Digital Turbine and enabling Direct Attribution.

Advertisers must always contact Adjust to request both Allowlisting and Direct Attribution for the campaign.

### Allowlisting

Adjust must first allowlist Digital Turbine for the tracker token. This ensures that Digital Turbine traffic will not receive false positives, and it will not be flagged by the distribution outlier filter or other fraud prevention filters. This is due to the nature of our ad unit. If Allowlisting is applied without Direct Attribution, the applicable look‑back window is 90 days.

### Direct Attribution (Pre‑Install Attribution)

Adjust can also enable Direct Attribution (or Pre-Install) tracking. Direct Attribution provides Digital Turbine's deterministic attribution matching without a device ID and assigns priority to Digital Turbine above other ad engagements (impressions and clicks). This extends the look‑back window to 90 days (or up to 365 days if required).

Direct Attribution applies only to apps installed through Digital Turbine’s Ignite software, as they are installed directly on the device via Digital Turbine Ignite rather than being redirected to the Store.

## Share Dashboard View Access <a href="#step4-share-dashboard" id="step4-share-dashboard"></a>

1. Click the **Settings** icon in the bottom left of the dashboard menu, and select **Account settings**.

2. Open the **Users** tab, and click **New user** in the top right corner.

3. For **Feature permissions**, check the **Add spend data**, **Ad revenue data**, and **In-app revenue data** toggles.

4. Use the values below to fill out the user details, and click **Create new user**.

5. Set the user's role to **Custom**, and click **Edit user's custom permissions**.

6. At the Apps page that opens, for the relevant App from the list, set the **Role** to *Custom*, and click on **Links & Partners** in the right column.

7. On the **Partners** tab, search for **Digital Turbine**, and check the **Enable** checkbox.
8. On the **Links** tab, search for **Digital Turbine**, and turn on the toggles for each link desired for cost to be enabled.

## Set Up Cost Tracking <a href="#step5-cost-tracking" id="step5-cost-tracking"></a>

Cost tracking relies on Adjust Cost API. Follow the steps below to enable the Cost API.

1. In the Adjust dashboard menu, click **DataWorks→Connections** and click on the **+** icon to add a new connection.\
   The **New connection** dialog opens.

2. In the **Partner** drop-down, start typing *Digital* and select `Digital Turbine Growth`.
3. In the **Services** drop-down, select `Ad Spend`.
4. In the **Client ID** and **Client secret** fields, enter the API access credentials. These are provided by your Digital Turbine representative.
5. Click **Connect**.

## Set Up Reporting <a href="#step6-reporting" id="step6-reporting"></a>

Adjust offers two Cost APIs for DT campaigns: the Cost API and the New DT Unified Cost API. For DT Unified campaigns, you need to explicitly switch your reporting to the new API. Complete the following steps to do so:

1. In the Adjust dashboard menu, click **Datascape→Reports** and either open an existing report or add a new report by clicking on the **+** icon.
2. In the report filters area at the top, click **Data configuration**.

3. Scroll down or start typing *Digital* to locate and enable the **Digital Turbine ad spend version** filter and click **Apply**.

4. The **Digital Turbine ad spend** filter appears in the filters area at the top. The filter is set to *Advertiser Reports API* by default.

5. Click on the **Digital Turbine ad spend version** filter, set it to `Growth Reporting API (new)` and click **Apply**.
