Demand Performance

The Demand Performance report allows you to generate reports using accurate revenue data from mediated network dashboards and programmatic data from DSPs in DT Exchange. This report updates daily at 10:00 AM GMT. The Demand Performance report eliminates the need to log into multiple mediated network dashboards to track revenue.

What's in the Report?

The Demand Performance report provides all the necessary dimensions to analyze the performance of a publisher's demand partners, mediated or programmatic. It includes the dimensions and metrics from the Mediation Overview report, with the addition of Daily Engaged Users (DEU) and Average Revenue per Engaged User (ARPDEU).

The report includes the Response Rate, also known as an Ad Network Fill Rate or Availability Rate in competing platforms. This metric measures the percentage of fills a demand source achieves from the total bid requests. It is available at the instance level for mediated ad networks. The revenue and impression count for traditionally mediated networks come from their respective reporting APIs.

Default View

The Demand Performance report opens with a table that has the following default settings:

  • Split: Demand Source Name (default limit: 50).

  • Metrics: Revenue, Publisher eCPM, Impressions, and Response Rate.

  • Sorting order: Descending by Revenue.

  • Pinboard dimensions: Demand Source Type, App Name, and Device OS.

Demand Performance Dimensions

The following sections describe the dimensions available in the Demand Performance report.

General

Date/Time

Defines the date range the report covers.

The default filter is set to today’s date.

Demand

Bid Status

The final status of the bid response received by the mediated network:

  • Won: Bid wins the auction.

  • Lost on Price: Bid loses because the price is lower than the bid in the auction.

  • Below the Floor Price: Bid response does not meet the publisher's floor price.

  • Blocked Category: Bid response rejected because the campaign's IAB category corresponded to a blocked category by the publisher's app.

  • Blocked on Creative: Bid response is manually blocklisted for creative content.

  • Failed Creative ID Blocked: Bid is automatically blocked due to a consistently low survival rate.

  • Invalid Response: Bid response fails due to an invalid format or missing parameters.

  • No Bid: HTTP 204: No Content response.

  • Demand QPS Throttling: Bid blocked due to exceeding the manual queries-per-second (QPS) cap.

  • Filtered out for Optimization: Automatically blocked for optimization.

  • HTTP Error: Request failed due to a server error.

  • Timeout: Response exceeds the timeout window.

  • Capped: Bid request dropped due to frequency cap.

Demand Source Name

Identifies the demand source across systems, including mediated networks or DSPs.

Demand Source Type

The demand source integration:

  • DT Exchange

  • Mediated Networks

  • SDK Bidding

Instance ID

A unique identifier that represents an instance on the mediated network's dashboard.

Instance Name

Defines the instance name in the instance settings.

Reporting Source

Indicates whether the data source is from DT's reporting system or the mediated networks' reporting API.

Device

Advertising ID Availability

Determines the availability of an Advertising ID (IDFA for iOS or AAID for Android) in the ad request.

Device OS

Identifies the device's operating system.

Experiment

Variant Name

The name of the variant in the experiment settings.

A variant defines a group within a placement experiment or test, and a placement test compares different placement configurations on a subset of users to optimize ad performance. The system analyzes the results and selects the best-performing variant.

App ID

The unique DT identifier for the app.

App Name

The name of the app as configured in the app settings.

App Version

The unique identifier for the specific app release.

COPPA

Indicates the app's compliance with COPPA regulations.

Placement ID

The unique identifier for a placement.

Placement Name

The name of the placment as configured in the placement settings.

Placement Type

Format and location of the placement:

  • Banner: Rectangle ads appear either at the top or bottom of the screen. The user can view them but cannot dismiss them.

  • Rewarded: Full-screen ad format that shows a short video ad to the user. Upon completion of the video, the user will earn a reward.

  • Interstitial: Static or video full-screen ads. The user can view and then immediately dismiss them. This is a non-rewarded format for the user

Product Line

DT product: DT FairBid or DT Exchange.

Location

Country

Identifies the country where the ad request originates.

Demand Performance Metrics

The following sections describe the metrics available in the Demand Performance report.

Delivery

Bid Requests

Number of outgoing requests that DT FairBid sends to demand sources after receiving an ad request from the app.

Bid Responses

Number of valid bid responses, Won or Lost on Price, from the demand source.

Bids Won

Number of auctions that the demand source wins.

Response Rate

The rate at which bid requests receive a valid bid response marked as Won or Lost on Price from a demand source in DT FairBid. Other mediation providers may refer to this as Network Fill Rate or Availability Rate. Formula: Bid Responses ÷ Bid Requests

Show Rate

The rate at which available ads appear and become impressions. Formula: Impressions ÷ Fills

Win Rate

The rate at which a demand source wins the auction out of the total bid responses it provides. Formula: Bids Won ÷ Bid Responses

Engagement

Avg. Rev. per Engaged User

The rate at which each engaged user generates revenue within a specific period. Formula: Total Revenue ÷ Engaged Users

Clicks

The total number of times a user clicks on an ad.

Completion Rate

The rate at which a user completes viewing an ad. Formula: Completions ÷ Impressions

CTR

Click Through Rate. The rate at which users click on an ad they view. Formula: Clicks ÷ Impressions

Impressions

The number of times an ad appears to a user.

The mediated network's reporting API retrieves impressions for ads from a waterfall-mediated network, and the value may change over time.

Revenue

eCPM

Effective Cost Per Mille. Calculates ad revenue generated per 1000 ad impressions.

Publisher Revenue

Calculates the total revenue ads generate.

The mediated network's reporting API retrieves revenue for ads from a waterfall-mediated network, and the value may change over time.
